We moved into our house 17 years ago last February on brand new carpet. We determined it was time to replace it after a few years of thread-bare stairs.
We put a little of ours and (a lot of Mason's) sweat equity into the job. Mason turned out to be most allergic to the decaying pad.
Some rooms were more difficult to remove.
Other rooms were easy and fast.
It was removing the furniture and living admidst the mess of it that proved challenging.
And the job came with some bad news -- the master shower leaked. But the good news is we get a new shower.
We love the tile in the little bathroom.
The new carpet came with an even thicker pad.
It is so soft, maybe we should just dispense with furniture and sleep on the floor!
