Lauren found a new sugar cookie recipe and new decorating techniques.
She read that if you frost the back side of the cookie, it has a sharper, crisper look. The icing had a few drops of corn syrup to heighten the shine.
Mason made the fudge, Lauren made homemade marshmallows. We also made Triple Good Bars, English Toffee, caramel corn, Chex Mix . . .
Christmas brunch before we began opening gifts.
Val went with us for Chinese hot pot on Friday night before Christmas. I did not get any pictures -- but it was a truly authentic experience. We walked around the harbor to walk off all that food. The tide was so low we could see sea creatures crawling on the bottom of the harbor -- not a pleasant smell after the hot pot prawns.
We went to the Pacific Science Center on Friday and saw two IMAX movies and two laser shows. One of the IMAX movies was about hurricanes and in 3D.
While waiting for one of our shows, we went in the butterfly room. As soon as we walked in, a butterfly landed on Karl and would not leave.
Linds got a flip cam for Christmas. She took a nice picture of Space Needle with a rainbow.
