Camping on Blake Island

Spence and Karl went on an 11-year-old scout camping trip on Blake Island this past weekend. They didn't have to rough-it too much getting there!

They made foil dinners in the evening. In the morning, each scout had to prepare his own breakfast over the fire. Spence cooked burritos wrapped in foil for his breakfast--creative!

They had incredible first-day-of Spring weather, and the mountain was out!

They took a hike around the entire island and passed off lots of scout requirements.

Karl woke up early and captured the sunrise.

It turned out to be a warm day but brisk on the island.

Beware: Captain Spencer at the wheel!

Where's Blake Island? Looks like you have good boat connections!

Blake Island is just north of Vashon and east of Manchester State park in Port Orchard. You were looking for a camp ground I remember. Mason and Karl highly recommend it! (It is where Tilicum Village is.)
