Karl and Spencer went camping near Mt. St. Helen's at the Ape Caves this weekend. I don't know why they are called Ape Caves, but they are lava tubes that get so tight you have to crawl around on your hands and knees.

They camped in the snow and managed to stay warm. Karl said it made the ground softer.

They didn't know for sure there would be snow on the ground, so good thing they went prepared with snow boots and gear.

The caves stay 42 degrees year round. Just as they entered the cave here, the camera batteries died! Everyone had cameras so hopefully I can get some pictures from others.
