Lauren's roommate from school has been visiting us. She has never been to the Pacific Northwest, so on a hot Monday morning we took the Bremerton ferry to Seattle.
We stopped by the gum wall. Spencer thought it was a little unappetizing.
We browsed Pike's Place and had lunch in a Mediterranean Deli.
We ate dinner near Seattle Center and it was still in the 90's so we decided to cool off at Gas Works Park on Lake Union. It is the site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant. (They turned coal to natural gas in the 1940s.)
We cooled off by wading in Lake Union. Seattle skyline is in the background. It was so warm compared with the Sound!
