Tulips and Temple

We toured the new Vancouver, British Columbia temple yesterday. There were lots of people with us, but we didn't have to wait too long. It was really pretty with lots of attention to the finest detail. The marble came from Spain and the interior wood from Uganda. The Canadians have had to drive through lots of traffic and many miles to attend the Seattle Temple so they are very excited to have their own now.
This is the back of the temple. We never got a picture from the front, although we did go in the front doors.

Grandma and Grandpa met us at our motel on Friday night and toured the temple with us in the morning.

The temple had the native dogwood flower as a recurring motif in the door handles, carpet and stained glass. It is British Columbia's flower. They were even in bloom too!

We stopped at Mt. Vernon on the way home to see the tulip fields. Mason and Spencer couldn't remember seeing them. Everyone was taking pictures of themselves with the flowers.

It was really windy and we were a bit dressed up for the occasion!

Spencer's favorite color is red.

Mason took this close up.
