Baking has Begun

This very nice Harry and David Christmas gift arrived in the mail yesterday full of little goodies which made us think it was time to start the Christmas baking. Really, we did begin last Monday night with a batch of very-soft-not-quite-ice cream-topping fudge. So this Monday it was on to a batch of gingersnaps and peanut butter cookies.

After sampling each we put them in the freezer so we can build up a good supply for next Thursday when Lauren comes home.

Apparently we put the camera away before they came out of the oven. But they look and taste terrific! Finally, clean-up was made easier because of my very own invention: a sink starter! Our sink will not stay on unless you hold the handle up the entire time---until now! It is the best thing I have ever invented!
