Dance Festival 08

Lauren, Lindsey and Mason all participated in an 11 stake dance festival in the Tacoma Dome last weekend. Here are some of our really bad pictures! I could blame it on the fact that we couldn't use a flash and that we sat so far away; but I suspect even if we were closer and did use the flash, they wouldn't be much better. They moved too fast! This is the opening number "Shout" by the Isley Brothers. (Nice head tops in the foreground!)

All the costumes were great, but these were my favorites. The young man in this picture is a friend of ours from Olympia dancing to Glenn Miller's "In The Mood."

Lindsey is in the center of this very dark picture dancing to "The Hustle." She was clear across the dance floor from us.

Here's Lauren doing the disco to the Bee Gees "Stayin' Alive."

Mason is in the center of this picture. The 12-13 boys did a dance to High School Musical's "Get'cha Head in the Game." At one point in the dance they shut off the lights and the balls glow in the dark.

Mason is in dark blue in this picture. This is at the very end--just before they went into the reprise of the finale.

This gives you and idea of what 2,200 dance festival dancers look like. This is the finale when they all come out and dance to High School Musical's "We're All in This Together."
